Stepping Stone, Good Lovin', I Can Only
Give You Everything , Everybody Needs
Somebody, Last Time, Heart Of
Stone.

Equipment:
Mike Cromwell used a white Fender
Stratocaster w/ his matching Silvertone
2-12" silver Tolex amp to Dave Tiptons.
Dave had a Fender Jazzmaster ( I wanted
him to get the Jaguar). Mike Bulik had a
Fender Jazz Bass with a Fender Bassman
amp, Bob Marsh had a Farfisa Mini compact
keyboard , amp unknown. Kevin shields had
the 5 piece Ludwig set with a full
complement of Zildjian cymbals...his was
the exact set that Ringo of the Beatles
played. Joe Fitzpatrick played several
small kits, all had baby bass drums -
think he had Slingerland and Rogers stuff
, Tom Fox had a red Framus hollow body
bass w/ f- holes and a rather large Kustom
bass amp. They came in many wild colors,
but I think his was black. The vocals were
driven by a variety of Bogen amps (small
PA stuff 35-50 watts ) and some Gibson
columns ,occassionally some Electrovoice
horns, several Electrovoice 664,-636,-627
microphones... some that appeared
mysteriosly and were of suspicious origin
being they were sometimes goldplated.

Rehearsal
Space:
Started
out playing in Kevin Sheilds parents
garage the first summer of 64, then went
next door to Tiptons basement where his
mom Betty would request (AGAIN) to hear
that Little Red Riding Hood song ( Sam the
Sham's big hit ) while she serve up
Hawaiian punch and cookies. She was of
course very good to us and we remember her
fondly.

Bob Marsh
had a polka dot shirt...pea coats were big
in the winter...Mike Bulik had a thin
black leather, and we all wore Beatle
boots from Flagg Brothers.

Gig
from
Hell!:
Seems we
were supposed to play at this girls house,
but when we got there it was a
housewrecking party - all her folks booze
was looted, people were throwing chairs
thru windows. I remember the dining room
table splintering while people were
stealing coin collections, somebody
sniffing glue in a corner while someone
else threw up on the couch while they
ripped the curtains off the wall.

Last

If you
