The Wild Childs
Rockaway, New Jersey

1966-1972

The band started in 66' with John Saliski and Ralph Lopez, playing instrumentals from the 60's - Ventures, Walk Don't Run and the Theme Song from "Peter Gun". Upon Freshman year of High School, (Morris Hills Regional High), Ralph took the band to the next level and recruited Chuck Miller as a Bass Guitarist. John left the band and soon after, Richie Goble was added on Rhythm Guitar (He always had nice equipment too - Fender!!). Drummers came and went until Carey Caroll came along (He was fast and too damn loud - he's in). We recruited JimBob Bailey one day, after hearing him sing in the boys gym locker room. He was in!... and Al DiAtorio was recruited on keyboard (He couldn't play but he was a bud... He's in). A few gigs passed (YMCA Dances) and Al was replaced with Jerry Principe on keyboards. Carey, our drummer, left the band to pursue other music and Dave Sorber became our Drummer till our last gig. It was the best time I ever had... and I was with the best friends I've ever had.
