The Tensions Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 1964-1966    We played all instrumentals, All the Ventures stuff, until the Beatles, then we did some of their numbers and started singing. The band eventually broke up because we would always fight over something, geez we were 15-18 years old. But we liked to play for people.  Personnel: Bill Bondar- Guitar Mike Klukas - Lead Guitar Wayne Ripper - Guitar Jimmy Coulter - Drums Bob Zieko - Bass Influences: The Ventures, The Beatles, Rolling Stones Setlist Sample: Walk Don't Run, Pipeline, Perfidia, Wipeout, Twist and Shout Equipment: Silvertone amps, Standel amps, Danelectro guitar, Gibson Guitar, Ludwig drums, Bogen PA Amp. Rehearsal Space: Jimmys garage, we used to draw the whole neighborhood out when we cranked up. Band Vehicles: Jimmy's mothers car, I was the only one old enough to drive. Fashion Statement: Beatle boots, dickys, matching pants and shirts. Best Gig: Colwyn Swim Club, Lots of girls in swim suits. Gig from Hell!: Battle of the bands, Lambertville NJ, I called in sick for that gig, and my boss saw our picture in the newspaper. Last Gig: West Catholic High School Dance. Comments: They wanted me to join the band because I had the best amplifier (Standel).        Where are they now?
