1969-1977
Started as a Saturday get together with a few friends and Instuments and evolved into Stillwater. Had a few member changes through the years but these 5 members were the original Stillwater. Played all Michigan gigs from school proms, parties, wedding receptions, bars...basically anything.

Gibson Les Paul, Peavey Power Head with Ames Speakers, Fender Jazz Bass with Peavey Power Bass Amp, Fender Strat with Twin Reverb Amp, Rogers Drum Kit, Shure Microphones with an Aimes PA System.

Rehearsal Space:
Keith's Parent's Basement and Brother In Law's Basement

Band Vehicles:
UHaul Truck or UHaul Trailer pulled by whoevers car.

Fashion Statement:
70's Flares, Satin, Flowered Shirts, Whatever was cool back then.

Best Gig:
Bath High School-Great Time and everyone was ready to Party.

Gig from Hell!:
The Wagon Wheel , Grayling Michigan, Booked by our agent but it was a country bar. Played 5 or 6 songs and left.

Last Gig:
Somewhere in Michigan.

Comments:
We would like to dedicate all the good times and years we had to Mike. He was a fantastic guitarest and was always the life of the party and kept the band rockin.

 

  

 

Where are they now?

Keith Schafer lives in Mt. Pleasant Michigan still playing music with Andy Spence in a Acoustic group called 2nd Monday. Andy Spence lives in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan and playing Acoustic Guitar with Keith in 2nd Monday, Al Cain is retired form the Air Force and living in Salt Lake City Utah, Howard Reihl lives in Beal City , Michigan, Mike Hedershot lived in Mt. Pleasant but passed away in 2001.He was a sincere friend and will always be in our hearts.
