Savage Crimson Port Jervis, New York 1971-1973   We were just a bunch of high school kids who didn't fit in with any clique, so, being fledgeling musicians, we decided to form a band. The problem was we were COMPLETELY inept at playing the hits, plus we couldn't read music, so we had to listen to records over and over...driving our parents nuts. The band gradually died from lack of interest, but Bill and I became songwriters (if you can't play other people's music, compose your own!)   Personnel: Bill Mackechnie - Guitar Dick Garms/Mike Kuykendall - Bass Steve aber - Guitar Chris Marion - Drums Influences: Hendrix, Steppenwolf, Alice Cooper, Led Zepplin, Uriah Heep. Teisco guitar, Premier amp. kKmberly bass, Univox amp. 1967 Ludwig drums Rehearsal Space: The gym of an abandoned school building, still affectionatly called: "church street." and, yes, we're still friends.
