The Remanes
Rumson, New Jersey

1965-1967

We were all students at Rumson Country Day School in the mid 60's. We played the following songs that I can remember:
Surf - Wipe out, Pipeline, Walk Don't Run
Beatles - And I Love Her, Daytripper, 8 Days a Week, Norwegian Wood, Long Tall Sally, I'm a Loser and many others
Stones - Satisfaction, Paint it Black, Around and Around, As Tears Go By, Play with Fire, and others
Others - Mustang Sally, What I Say, Shout, We Gotta Get Out Of This Place, House of the Rising Sun, Molly ( a local shore song by the Motifs), My Generation, Pictures of Lilly, You Really Got Me, Time Won't Let Me, Kicks ( Paul Revere and the Raiders) Many 3 chord progressions. etc. Typical garage stuff.

We were better than some, worse than most, we actually made some money playing parties and beach clubs. We blew all of our money on PA gear and new microphones or amps. My stuff got ripped of in 1967 and I went solo acoustic after I moved to Wyoming

 Where are they now?

Randy Houser lives in Charleston SC, I have no idea where the rest are. The one thing that I know has survived is my Shure Unidyne III mike. I moved away from the Jersey Shore in 1970. My only other real gig was as a Banjo player in Shakeys Pizza while I was in Law School at the University of Wyoming, Laramie, in 1975. I've been in a few pick up bands and did a music video spoof of Cable TV in a band called the "Test Probes" in 1985. I now have the following instruments. Yamaha FG 250 6 string, Peavey Predator Strat Clone, NO Name Tele clone - The infamous Part 0 Caster, a Fender Super 60 and a Blackface Bandmaster under restoration. I also have a great MB250 Epiphone Banjo.
