None of the band members
were really trained in music. We were all self -
taught on our instruments, but we had
determination! We practiced and practiced until we
got a song sounding decent. It was hard for us to
get jobs because we had no grown - ups acting like
our "agents" like other bands had that we knew. We
loved doing the Beatles, Stones, Tommy James, and
lots of Motown songs. Although we practiced most of
the time in Billy E's cellar (they werem't called
basements back then!) we also practiced in Mike's
garage. This is when we "almost" had our big break.
We had an original song we called "Tell Me Mister"
and it was your basic E - A - D progression type
song but was great for that time in music. By
chance down the street lived a record producer who
heard us playing in the garage. He liked our sound
and asked for a copy of the song on tape - Reel to
Reel at that time. Nothing ever became of it. He
also dissappeared. Personnel: Influences: Setlist
