Leaves Of Grass
Ann Arbor, Michigan

1967-1973

The band was formed when Joe and Rhone met in East Quad freshman year and they used to get together every nite after dinner and play songs before studying. They met Baby Ed when he was in South Quad, and a friend of a friend named Wilkinson, knew Dave from Buffalo. They practiced in the music practice room in the basement of South Quad. They started doing fraternity gigs and moved up from there. They were well know for a number of outstanding shows on the Diag (including the famous tie-dyed green underware gig), and for playing for quite a few orientation gigs and several outside all campus mixers.

Where are they now?
Winter, 2003

Rhone teaches diamonds at the Gemological Institute of America in Carlsbad, California and does some very interesting concerts for children with a 20 piece orchestra and singers and dancers. He still plays a Black Les Paul. Joe has become an outstanding chef and lives in Encinitas, California. He still has his original 335. Baby Ed runs a successful dot com business in Ann Arbor but he sold his drums. Dave runs a bed and breakfast in Australia and still has his Fender Bass.
