Infinite Sonification (Theis)
Ellicott City, Maryland

1969-1972

Born when the Excursians broke up, Steve and Lou started playing together in Steves basement, he knew a guy who played drums, then we found Chris, and the rest is history. All we did was practice, and smoke cigarettes until we got our first gig at the teen center at Wildlake Columbia, so we broke out our black lights and played the show. We got a gig to play at the "Ball and Chain" in downtown Baltimore, but we were told it was "a bad place" so we cancelled to stay in the counties. Little did we know that by going to Aberdeen High, we were actually in danger of being SHOT at. I think the Ball and Chain would have been the better gig. The kids in Aberdeen were looking forward to hearing C&W, and we came out slinging Grand Funk.. talk about culture shock!!
