 The Defenders were formed in Workington in 1962 and originally featured Geoff Miller on lead guitar and vocals, Brian Holmes on drums, Alan Stubbs on rhythm guitar and Geoff Coleman on vocals.

Fashion Statement:
Had blue silk jackets (like a fifties dance band!)

Best Gig:
Threlkeld village hall - we would get fed as well as paid and it had a fabulous atmosphere - about 400 people in a tiny village hall.

Gig from Hell!:
Windermere - we arrived with the usual load of amplifiers etc to find the stage had a single electric outlet.

Can't remember
