Bel-Air Hotel,
barmitzfah, 1965...$50.00 gig. Some old drunk guy
from the celebration came up to us and told us to
play our best song and frkin' nail it! San Jose by
Freddie King it was. We were loud, musically crude,
and ready to rock. My mother had to fight with the
family to get the $50.00. We were a disaster as far
as they were concerned. We kept the gleem in the
old drunks face for the whole set.
