Bush
Westfield, New Jersey

1971-1972

We were all high school chums playing for kicks and chicks! It was all for fun. Originally I was the bass player with my vintage Hofner,(which I sold on eBay several years ago for big bucks!) and Kevin was the guitarist. But after a couple of months, we decided to swap, neither of us was much of a lead player at the time, but I was a little better!

Personnel:
Brad W. - Drums
Kevin A. - Bass
Frankie A. - Guitar

Influences:
Creedence, Beach Boys, Black Sabbath, Stones, Johnny Winter.

Setlist Sample:
Johnny B. Goode, Paranoid, Rock and Roll Hootchie Koo, Jumpin' Jack Flash.

Equipment:
Brad played Ludwigs ( I think ). Kevin played a fender Precision Bass through Fender Bassman Amp. I played Kevin's Dan Electro Guitar through my Ampeg B15 Portaflex.

Rehearsal Space:
Brad's Basement.

Band Vehicles:
Kevin's Jeep, and my 67 Mustang.

Fashion Statement:
Blue Jeans and plaid flannel shirts.

Best Gig:
Helen's House party, (Kevin's girl friend) it was a great party, all our friends were there tearin' it up . . .until Helen's parents came home!

Gig from Hell!:
A church social dance in town, a real payin' gig! I was working in a deli after school and cut off the tip of my right thumb, about two days before this gig. But the show must go on. Actually, it went well except I was in serious pain the whole time! I could barely hold the pick! It went pretty well.

Last Gig:
I don't remember, like most teenage bands we were through after graduation.

Where are they now?
Fall 2003

Last I heard Brad lives in Calif. somewhere. Kevin married Helen and moved to Colorado, I live on the Jersey Shore and still enjoy playing. If any other old fart rockers want to jam, drop me a line!
