John Esser (Universe), Dave Livingston (Plain Brown Wrapper), Dennis Pinkston (The Maxx). The Pinkstons were in town and wanted to meet with as many friends as possible at the same time. We met at a bar at Lake Lansing.

Sam, Rod, Buddy, John, Mike

John Esser and Mike Stornant (Sticky Wiggetts). "Hey Dad...I think I swallowed a bottle cap!"

Kevin Nicholoff (The Ones)
making an odd expression, and Sam Shessia (Rod's sister)

Rod and Mike play hide and go seek.

Jamming in the parking lot in front of the bar. The bar doesn't know what it was missing by not letting a full-on session occur inside. At first I went out to jam with Sam...then later Pinkston came out.

Still jamming

Later a few of us went over to Rod's house to jam. It was great to see and hear these local music legends together.

It would have been nice to have had a whole weekend together jamming in a recording studio...with those that showed up at the bar and with those that were invited and didn't show up. The quality of musicianship that could have been caught on tape if that had happened would have made a mark in Michigan's Rock Music History.
