The Undecided
Lynn, Massachusetts

1966-1967

Band came about by a merger of two garage bands and friends who gigged at first for No $$ then where able to graduate from family birthday parties to paid gigs at school and church dances.

Personnel:
Dean Robinson - Lead Vocals
Eric Manson - Drums
Gary Hogan - Guitar
Ronny Belben - Bass Guitar
Vic Scalona - Lead Guitar
Smiley Navarone - Keyboard

Influences:
British Rock, Beatles , Kinks, Cream, Vanilla Fudge, Buckinghams, Searchers,
Rolling Stones, Rascals, Troggs, etc... etc..

Setlist Sample:
Beatles catalogue, Needles and Pins, Satisfaction, Gloria, All the Day and All Night, Keep Me Hangin On, Wild Thing, Don't Let The Sun Catch You Crying. All the garage band required play list heavy on the British stuff.
Only one original "How Many Tears".

Equipment:
Fender and Gibson guitars, Ampeg and Fender showman amps, Vox keyboard, Slingland drums.

Rehearsal Space:
Eric's house cellar, or outdoors in somewones yard...became yard parties!

Band Vehicles:
Vic's brothers 63 Ford Van.

Fashion Statement:
British Mod and Black Slacks and red & yellow paisley print shirts.

Best Gig:
Casino Beach Venues (Hampton Beach and Nantascutt Beach). Summer of '66 was the best paying gigs - Boston College frat parties (Animal House Live!).

Gig from Hell!:
Either a pre-teen birthday party of 10 year olds or the Catholic CYO dance where the pastor forbid us doing that song " Louie - Louie ". We did it anyway with corrected understandable lyrics to prove it was NOT a dirty song. They pulled the power on us half way through. I think we had to all promise to go to confession before morning Mass to continue.

Last Gig:
Don't remember.

Comments:
Wasn't it a great time in all our lives. Thanks to these guys and their website. Thanks for the memories!
