The Ramparts
Detroit Lakes, Minnesota

1967-1969

First gig was at a Catholic School end of school year party. Played at a talent show at Becker County Fair, school dances, street dances, local armories, Bemidji State University. We started out with four members and added an organ player after about a year. Jim Howe was the musical leader of the band and would take the records that the band wanted to play, listen to them on a stereo and type out the words and chords and make a copy for each band member.
