Best
Gig:
Bloomfield
Hills Battle of the Bands at Groves High
School, 1964, took second place. Also
Walled Lake Casino - 1964, things just
went well with the entire set...the joint
was rockin'!

Gig
from
Hell!:
A sock
hop at a high school in Detroit, I don't
remember exactly where. We followed a band
that was several years older than us and
played the same material only better. We
didn't do well.

Last
Gig:
Bloomfield
Hills High School Junior Prom 1964 is the
last one I remember. Attached picture (top
of page) is from that gig featuring: Burke
Lewis drums, Paul Kelcourse (Jazzmaster),
Scott Chambers (P-bass), Tony Maciorowski
(Duo-Sonic), Butch Hamilton (Wurlitzer
electric piano)

Comments:
After breaking up
in 1965, Larry Welker, Paul Kelcourse and Butch
Hamilton again joined forces. Paul then played
with the Four of Us and the Fugitives. Larry
Welker and Butch (now Boot) Hamilton joined Billy C
Farlow to form Billy C & The Sunshine from
1966-67. Welker went on to play with several other
blues bands including Sam Lay, and Hamilton joined
Mitch Ryder for a while. Most of post Overtones
history is off the internet, I haven't seen any of
these guys since 1965 or so. I went on to get a
Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences and have been doing
that since.
