Statement:
We wore
white shirts and red vests....eventually
the bass player would dress like a shiek
in robes, sandals and the headdress....we
became Shiek Beak and the Nomads (the
"Beak" part was a tribute to bass player
(Fred's) nose.....say no more.

Comments:
We were
semi-popular...always amazes me at people who say
they remember us. It was a great time. Funniest
memory is we got a job to play at a strip club on
Bourbon Street...we were all ery excited about
that....the lead guitarist's mom found out and
wouldn't let him play so we had to cancel. We
talked about kicking him out of band for that. None
of the rest of our parents knew about the job.
